Past Testing Results

The common contaminants that are tested for in the study have been bacteria in the form of Total Coliform and E. coli and Nitrate. The following table summarizes the results from 2019 - 2022. The numbers displayed show the percentage of Door County wells indicating various levels of contaminants compared to Wisconsin averages.

Testing Parameters

  • Total coliforms/ E. coli (quantification)
  • Nitrate (Nitrate + nitrate as N)
  • Optional – arsenic, pH, alkalinity, hardness and iron

Cost

  • The first 300 registrants will receive a discount and the base parameters will be $30
  • Those registering after the first 300 registrants will pay $45 for the base parameters
  • The cost of the optional parameters is an additional $25
  • If you are not able to finance the above cost, there is limited funding available to offer financial assistance. Please contact our office for more information.

Event Details

  • Registration will be accepted through September 22, 2023
  • Once payment is received, your sample material will be mailed to you
  • Virtual forums will be available to review sampling procedure
  • Collect your sample and drop off on October 6 or October 7 at one of the designated locations during the established drop off times
